RESCHEDULED Rock The River Float Trip - Ozark River Stewards

  • 28 May 2017
  • 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Grinder's Ferry, Hwy 65 Bridge

Join Ozark River Stewards for a 4.5 mile float from Grinder's Ferry Access to Gilbert. Meet Jessie Green, the newly appointed Waterkeeper whose fulltime job will be to watch over the White River and its Tributaries, including the Buffalo River. Shuttles provided. This is an easy, beginner-level trip and a great chance to learn how you can be involved in protecting and preserving the river! Message this site for updates and more info. Decorate your kayak or canoe and come help us make a splash as we "rock the river."

Due to rain forecast on Saturday, we are rescheduling our float to Sunday, May 28th. We still plan to meet up at Grinder's Ferry below the Hwy. 65 bridge over the Buffalo River at 9:30 am. We'll have signs, banners and other decorations for your boat, and will use this opportunity to share information on the current threats to the water quality and how the public can help us convince the governor to protect the river from degradation.  We'll do a convoy shuttle to the take-out prior to the float.
